Kedner P. Stiven

A True Haitian Renaissance Man

Seventy Never Looked So Good!

Actor. Broadcaster. Community Leader. Entrepreneur. Humanitarian. Family Man.

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary man who has spent a lifetime living his dreams while inspiring countless others to pursue theirs. Kedner P. Stiven is the very definition of a Renaissance Man — a visionary leader, cultural ambassador, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and family man whose impact reaches far beyond his community.

Few people can say they have been a lead actor in a Haitian film, a martial arts instructor, a New York State Chaplain Officer, the founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a successful small-business owner for more than two decades, and an award-winning radio personality. Yet Kedner has accomplished all of this — and much more.

As host of the acclaimed Caribbean Mixed radio program on 90.3 WHPC at Nassau Community College, Kedner has interviewed hundreds of Haitian musicians, authors, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and philanthropists. Through his voice and platform, he has celebrated Haitian excellence while connecting generations through culture, music, and meaningful conversation.

Kedner is truly the heartbeat of the Haitian community. His passion for preserving and promoting Haitian culture is evident in everything he does, including his annual Haitian Jazz Festival, where he proudly showcases the talents of Haitian jazz musicians and artists. His commitment to giving back is not an occasional act — it is a way of life.

Among his most meaningful accomplishments is helping establish a school in Arcahaie, Haiti — the birthplace of his beloved mother — to provide educational opportunities for the next generation of Haitian youth. Through this effort and many others, Kedner has demonstrated that true success is measured not only by personal achievement but by the lives we uplift along the way.

Above all, Kedner is a devoted husband of 24 years and a proud father of four — Fabyola, Kedner Jr., Adele, and TeAmo — a loving brother, an uncle, a mentor, and a loyal friend. His greatest legacy is the love, guidance, and inspiration he shares with those around him every day.

Today we celebrate a man of vision, purpose, generosity, and unwavering faith — a man who continues to make a difference wherever he goes.
